FAQ
(FREQUENTLY ASKED QUESTIONS)

Why go in a group with regular people and not charter a smaller boat for us?
Because it’s incredibly fun!  There are many different kinds of music charter and group cruises out there and more being created every day.  A lot of planning and heart goes into this group and each event we cultivate is a detailed, nurtured experience.  It’s fun traveling with regular vacationers because our group is set apart from everyone else, but we still get to experience all the overt cheesiness of a cruise alongside them.  This is a unique adventure superimposed on an otherwise common vacation.

How do I book for this?
You can choose and reserve your cabin for a refundable $250 deposit.  Please note that there is limited availability for low pricing.  Rates increase when all lower priced cabins sell out.  When you decide you want to go, you can go to our registration page HERE and get set up.  If you have any commitment issues, monetary hang-ups, or deep-seated fears of booking something months in advance, we have counselors standing by to handle and eliminate your waffling.  If you are still afraid, rest assured that you can make last minute alterations to your booking or use our convenient payment plan and referral discounts to ease any financial strain.  Please see our PHOTOS with people enjoying themselves for additional comfort and have some french fries to take the edge off.

How do single travelers work?
There are two options for single travelers.  You can book a cabin for yourself at a slightly higher rate and enjoy a private room, or you can put your fate in our hands and have us match you with one or more roommates.  Last year we had many single travelers.  Most of them chose the private cabin option and a few had roommates chosen for them, which they later told us was successful.  It is just a matter of personal preference and budgeting.

How much is it?
Price depends on the cruise cabin you choose. Inside cabins are currently at the rate of $1099. Oceanview cabins are $1299. Balcony cabins are $1499.

What is the scheduling/activities/off-time like?
This cruise happens to offer one of the best itineraries in the Caribbean. We will be traveling to two of the Virgin Islands, the beautiful Dominican Republic, and a private island in the Bahamas. We will definitely be planning some fun group excursions and we love to have interesting activities for the group to participate in on board. Also, one of our favorite Phamily Cruises planners is turning 30 during this trip, so.

Why go on this cruise and not any other cruise?
Because when you found out about this it made you feel tingly inside.  Because you know people who went last year who wont stop talking about it.  Because it seems like the most amazing trip and you can’t believe someone’s actually organizing something like this!  Because traveling is fun and you need more travel buddies.  Because you like the bands going.  Because you want to hear music 13 stories above the ocean miles away from land and floating.  Because you want to wear a captain’s hat with a whole bunch of other people at the same time.  Because you like the Big Lebowski. Because there are so many train songs to play on guitar and you can’t wait to bust them out.  Because you like DRINKING ON A BOAT!  Because you like that alcohol is included and is only ever offered by cruise lines through certain organized groups.  Because you want to go on vacation and this one seems really cool.  Just because.

When do I need to know by?
You should register for the boat right now.  Norwegian is offering specials right now and for a limited time you can place a 50% deposit with no additional payments until NOVEMBER.  Also, the more people that book at the same time, the better job we can do placing everyone in the same area of the ship.  Blocking off space is important for convenience, noise and other nuisance management, and the overall experience of the trip.  Last year we had whole rows of suites together and were able to put the inside cabins right across from them.  It made for a perfect little neighborhood!  The best thing to do is hold the cabin and then change or cancel the reservation at a later date instead of waiting and getting put in some weird corner of the boat.  Click HERE to register!

Can I cancel?
Sure (but why would you?)  You can cancel your deposits and any subsequent payments with a full refund before final payment is due.   After final payment, the best way to avoid any penalties is to do a name change and substitute another traveler.  Please contact us immediately if you feel you need to cancel so we can determine the best solution for you.

Can I add someone at the last minute?
We are as accommodating as possible.  You will be able to make name changes and additions through the last business day before the cruise.  Due to changes in homeland security regulations, there will be no changes available at the port.

I’ve heard about upgrades, how does that work?
Last year we had the opportunity to upgrade every balcony to a suite, some insides to oceanviews, and a penthouse to the owners’ suite, all complements of Phamily Cruises.  This is not a guarantee, but since we are working with a ship that may not sell out, we can work our travel agency magic and get some pretty amazing upgrades.  We take extremely good care of our groups, and check daily for upgrades, price reductions, and booking incentives.  This diligence paid off in additional on-board credit for many cabins and afforded nearly every cabin an upgrade.
